This is a first shift position, M-F with OT as needed to meet customer demands.
The Production Technician assembles and tests products and sub-assemblies per accepted safety, quality and productivity standards and protocols that he/she helps initiate and maintain along with the assistance of other production personnel. All of this is done to ultimately maximize our customer's satisfaction level.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assemble and test electrical/electronic products and sub-assemblies per accepted safety, quality, and productivity standards and protocols.
Record and submit productivity and quality metrics to the Team leader or Production Leader.
Plays a pivotal role in maintaining inventory accuracy.
Complete all essential duties as well as the applicable paperwork and computer entries on a timely basis.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols and practices.
Collaborate with team members to identify process improvements and increase efficiency.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High School diploma or equivalent.
1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
Basic understanding of circuit boards, schematic reading and electrical meter skills.
Background working with AC/DC voltages.
Proficiency with basic computer systems and inventory management software (i.e. Oracle, MS Office)
Ability to manage multiple projects at a time
Ability to provide detail analysis on problems encountered while testing
Experience with basic hand tools (saws, hammers, drills, etc.)
Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy under pressure
Strong communication skills, delivering thoughts and ideas clearly both written and verbally
